Welcome to our organization, a beacon of hope and transformation for vulnerable children and their family. Our journey began when one remarkable encounter ignited a passion that has grown into a life-changing mission. Alisa Gresham, a dedicated member of our board, crossed paths with a young man named Daniel who lives in Sierra Leone.  Little did they know that this chance meeting would be the catalyst for a journey that would touch the lives of many.

Alisa and Daniel’s connection was more than chance; it was fate. As they shared their stories and experiences, they discovered a common thread that wove their hearts together – a deep commitment to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children. Their shared compassion and determination became the cornerstone of our organization’s foundation.

Recognizing the significance of their shared vision, Alisa reached out to God’s DNA, sharing this remarkable opportunity that had unveiled itself through her meeting with Daniel. From that moment, our partnership was born, and the seeds of transformation were sown. With a heart full of purpose and a vision fueled by compassion, we embarked on a mission to empower children and their families to create a brighter future for them.  God’s DNA along with private sponsors have helped over 25 students in Sierra Leone have hope for a brighter future.  Our students range from 1^st grade through college.These young minds, once overlooked, now have the chance to learn, grow, and dream without limitations. But our impact goes beyond the classroom. We believe in a holistic development, and that’s why we’ve taken steps to uplift the families of our students.

About four-fifths of the population in Sierra Leone lives in absolute poverty, due to unemployment, high debt burden, poor educational opportunities and lack of access to basic social services.  Two parents from our Sierra Leone community have become an integral part of our mission. One parent passionately prepares nutritious lunches for our students on school days, ensuring their well-being and enabling them to thrive academically. Another tends to our flourishing garden, cultivating a space of growth and sustainability that mirrors the potential within each child.  We aspire to more than what we have achieved so far. we hope to build a permanent home on the donated land we’ve been blessed with. This home will stand as a symbol of hope, resilience, and opportunity for generations to come.

Every child deserves the chance to dream, learn, and flourish. Together, we can rewrite the narratives of vulnerability and poverty, replacing them with stories of empowerment and success.   We have made strides in Sierra Leone, current projects have been completed and more are unfolding.  Every day we work toward creating a brighter future for these children and their families.

Striving To Give Sustenance to our Southern California Families

As we look toward the future, God’s DNA strives to make a difference in the lives of our local families.  We support communities in Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.  Families are struggling to make ends meet and to guide their children to a sustainable future.  We know that all children have potential and deserve the chance to dream, learn, and flourish.   We want to make sure that our families receive the mentorship and guidance that will propel them into a lifetime of growth and sustainability.

We strongly believe education is the key to having many choices and a brighter future.  Therefore, we connect families and students with needed services to help them realize their opportunities.   We provide students with support in the following areas:  Completing a high school diploma, scholarships available, trade and community college programs, and job leads.   We have board members with over 30 combined years in education.  We have helped several students obtain admission to colleges, get partial and full ride scholarships as well as, find their pathways through career assessment tools.

Our mentorship for students is a work in progress.  If a child needs assistance with an outlined plan to prepare for their future we will be there to assist them with resume building and suggestions, interview techniques and the proper way to complete a job application.  Our board members are willing mentors with a wealth of knowledge and varied career backgrounds in the following areas:  Armed Services, education, health careers, office skills, and much more. 

Southern California has so many wonderful colleges to choose from we could help you explore and find the one that’s right for you.   Our team of educators is also familiar with the requirements of many out of state colleges which provide opportunities that are often more flexible for admission and scholarships.  We ask that our students keep all their options open as we assist you on your journey to preparing for a bright future.

In addition to our educational and mentorship support we participate in local community giveaways monthly.  We provide food, clothing and other household items that are important to families in these difficult times of need.  Your donation to God’s DNA will most definitely make a difference in the lives of our local families as we strive to assist them with their current needs.  Let’s all do our part to bless a family who needs our support!
